#can we just stop and appreciate Harry’s face in this scene? #I mean, he’s literally waiting for someone to say something about Hermione’s blood status #she’s the only Muggleborn in the slug club full of purebloods and well known people #and Harry’s there just like “say something I dare you” #and if you look at her face, you can see the actual hesitation and somewhat fear of what will happen next after telling of her parents occupation #Harry truly is acting like Hermione’s big brother, which I absolutely love #i just adore this scene

When people say that Harmony shippers are delusional, im like….
HAVE YOU READ THE WORDS IN THIS BOOK????
Now before you start spazzing about me underlining on books, I did this the FIRST time I EVER read a harry potter book (yes I started with the fourth), I was probably ten, and I ALREADY shipped them. Damn, I didn’t even know what shipping meant and I still shipped them so hard.
Anyways, Im trying to be totally subjective now, but is it just me or did anyone else really see a spark here? I mean, if Harry and Ginny and Ron and Hermione were “destined” to be together, then WHY THIS? WHY??
PREACH. There are many ways to show that Harry and Hermione are like siblings. The author stating “she had done something she had never done before” gives the wrong impression and the kiss on the cheek is definitely misleading since that is a gesture usually shared between couples. If this is meant to be a friendly gesture, than Hermione kissing Ron on the cheek in OoTP loses its importance because she has performed that act with Harry previously. Which is why with most Ron and Hermione scenes, acts that are meant to be interpreted as “intimate” or “couply” do not have much of an impact for me since she has usally shared them with Harry in previous scenes. The only act which she hasn’t performed with Harry is the kiss on the lips she gives Ron in DH. However, there is nothing “profound” about that which would somehow indicate that he is the “love of her life” in comparison to Harry for whom she has sacrificed so much. Furthermore, Hermione has also kissed Viktor as well so again, it is a bit extreme to go from kissing Ron on the lips to marrying and having children with him in the epilogue. Harry and Hermione’s bond is described in a much more profound and significant way (ex, the “bonded for life” moment at Bill and Fleur’s wedding or the Godric’s Hollow scene in DH) which can be distinguished from Hermione’s relationship with any other boy in the series.

It’s not that I don’t ship Romione at all, cause I do. I do not ship them, but I like them. But if I would’ve chosen it, I would’ve picked Harmony.
I tried very hard to soften it, I suppose … Just because someone had a view on Harry/Hermione didn’t mean they weren’t genuine, or that they were necessarily misguided. In fact, I will say this, Steve Kloves who has been the script writer, who is enormously insightful on the series and a very good friend, after he read book seven he said to me, ‘You, know, I thought something was going to happen between Harry and Hermione, and I didn’t know whether I wanted it or not.’ He [Kloves felt a certain pull between them at that point. And I think he’s right. There are moments when Harry and Hermione touch, which are charged moments. One when she touches his hair as he sits on the hilltop reading about Dumbledore and Grindelwald, and another when they walk out of the graveyard with their arms around eachother. Now the fact is that Hermione shares moments with Harry that Ron will never be able to participate in. He walked out. She shared something very intense with Harry. So I think it could have gone that way.
Aww look at Hermione pondering what to do- if she should hug him or-! :) and then there’s Dumbledore… ;) LOL but Harry -
